I’m so glad to be back to blogging again! In the month and a half since my last post, life has been nothing short of a roller coaster for my family. Before I get back to my blogging groove, I thought I wanted to talk about a few of the things that happened in my absence!
So. Much. Traveling.
Our family of four spent nights in Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, and Kansas (where we actually live) just in the short time I’ve been away from blogging! I will elaborate more on the reasons why in a few moments, but I think we’ve finally recovered from the travel fatigue and suitcase living!
Josh became a Blackhawk instructor pilot!
From mid-July to the end of September, our family relocated to Alabama so that my husband could attend IPC (Instructor Pilot Course). It was a very long two months that involved a less-than-desirable apartment, but fantastic weekend road trips–and we came out on the other side with an IP (instructor pilot) in the family! Most of the traveling mentioned happened due to IPC and the drive back to Kansas.
We went to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!
Overall the experience was incredible, but I would never advise anyone to do a whirlwind Disney World trip–especially in less than 48 hours. We loved seeing all of the creative costumes and the decorations in the Magic Kingdom! If you’re ever in the area during the Halloween season, we would definitely recommend giving the Party a try.
Wyatt started preschool!
I cannot believe my firstborn is old enough to be in school, but he is loving it. I’m planning a dedicated post about how this has impacted our family later, so this incredibly short sentiment will have to suffice for now.
Thank you for taking the time to catch up on a portion of what’s been going on for us! I am so excited to get back to writing about all of the ideas that have been collecting for the past month and a half. Happy November!
